Our mission at the Milton Pickleball Association Inc. (MPA) is to grow pickleball in Milton by providing access, education, and community for players of all ages and skill levels. We envision a Milton where pickleball is accessible, inclusive, and enjoyed by everyone, fostering lifelong friendships along the way.Since 2018, MPA has been building more than just courts—we’ve been building connections. Through tournaments, social events, family days, and partnerships with schools and local organizations, we have created a vibrant community where friendships and mentorships thrive. Members often share stories of connections formed on the courts that last a lifetime.
MPA also strives to make a positive social impact beyond the game. We partner with local charities and not-for-profits, including our 5-week clinic that raised approximately $3,000 for Sustainable Milton, and our quarterly food drive and monetary donations to the Salvation Army. These initiatives reflect our commitment to giving back and supporting the wider Milton community.
Our programs cater to all skill levels. Learn to Play sessions, clinics, and training programs help beginners and intermediate players develop their skills, while our mentor–mentee volunteer program pairs experienced players with newcomers. Expanded evening and weekend court access ensures families and working adults can participate, and community outreach and charity events extend the reach of pickleball throughout Milton.
Over the years, MPA has celebrated many milestones. Founded in 2018 by a group of volunteers with Bill King as President, the association quickly grew, and in 2023, during Bill’s tenure, three dedicated courts opened at Community Sports Park, converting basketball half-courts, resurfacing them, and adding windscreens. Under Rob Rafanans’ presidency in 2023, evening and weekend access was expanded to better serve families and working adults. Continuing this momentum, Annie Lu, our current president, along with members, successfully advocated for six new dedicated courts in 2025 at Bristol District Park and Coates Neighborhood Park, ensuring the community continues to grow.
Leadership and volunteerism are the backbone of MPA. Founders and presidents—Bill King, Rob Rafanan, and Annie Lu—have guided the association, while dedicated board members, interns, and volunteers make every program, event, and initiative possible. Their commitment ensures MPA remains a welcoming, organized, and supportive community.
At its heart, MPA emphasizes inclusivity, sportsmanship, and lifelong learning. We strive to create a safe and friendly environment for players of all skill levels, where growth, connection, and fun are always encouraged.
